The Ducati 620, 800, 750SS is a confirmed Convertibars installation.

A confirmed installation means that ConvertiBARS, and or a customer, have successfully installed a ConvertiBARS Kit on a motorcycle within the range of years listed above and the rise listed below has been achieved, with or without longer lines, while being able to reach the steering stops without permanent damage to the motorcycle. The year range noted above is only an estimate of the years that the motorcycle appears to have had little or no change to the handlebars and fairing, and so the installer should find similar installation issues as noted in the bike specific install notes. A confirmed installation however, does not mean the kit is guaranteed to fit.  ConvertiBARS is not liable for any labor times or costs associated with the installation or un-installation of either ConvertiBARS or the stock handlebars. Positioning restrictions between low and high positions do exist. See bike specific install notes for other installation and positioning issues.

*Maximum ConvertiBARS positioning capability.
Measurements are in inches, relative to the stock position, and with Proper Length Lines Position restrictions between low and high positions do exist. Measurements calculated with default handlebar below. See Bottom of page for rise capability with stock lines Fore = Further from the rider, Aft = Closer to the rider.

Important Installation Considerations.
Fairing modifications are required to achieve the rise/reach results listed. Please read the notes below before making a purchase!
From the Gentleman who confirmed this fitment:
In an effort to make my 2007 Ducati 800 SS more comfortable to ride on the street, In 2008 I first removed the factory installed clip-ons and installed Heli bars which changed the ridding position 1 inch up and 1 ¼ back this helped greatly but still created problems for me with general fatigue in my wrists, neck and back after only 40 to 50 minutes of riding, I’m now over 50 years of age and the SS sport riding position is a bit hard on your body.

To obtain the ability for street riding comfort and greater flexibility I purchased your three part convertiBARS system in 2011.  To make the convertiBARS installation possible I had to make several physical changes to the motorcycle.  The headlight frame a headlight fairing extended over the handle controls which caused limited space for changes.  To open up this area to obtain more space I made modifications to the frame cutting out 5” inches of frame rail and re-welding the mounts for the rear view mirrors, I also cut off 5” inches off of the headlight fairing and wind screen, repainting and refinishing both as needed.  Since my desired ridding position is about a 4” rise, I also needed extended clutch and brake lines and throttle and choke cables, those were sourced as you direct on your website.

I know my description of the alterations described above my be difficult for some it really was not, the biggest trouble I had was welding the mounts for the mirrors back on the headlight frame and getting the angle correct, I have never had any formal training with a welder, I did have several sore and roughed up fingers after I finished, ouch!.

The photos attached show my efforts and the original fairing and frame sections, before I made my alterations as a reference.
